Stephanie (2014)

Today I'm going to talk about Stephanie mini-dolls from 2014.

1) 41029 Stephanie's New Born Lamb
2) 5004116 Stephanie Watch with Mini-doll  (LEGO Gear)
3) 30113 Stephanie's Bakery Stand (promo/polybag)
4) 41057 Heartlake Horse Show
5) 41037 Stephanie's Beach House
6) 41058 Heartlake Shopping Mall
7) 41038 Jungle Rescue Base

There is no mistake that Stephanie is getting more attention than any other characters in some ways.

She is the only one who got an alternate wig for regular use. And it's been used by her alone!

Of course, other characters have appeared wearing something other than their normal wig before: Emma in her riding hat in 2012, and Mia in her skate helmet in 2015. And later this year, Olivia will be wearing her riding helmet, too.

But what they have on is nothing special: the same plain helmet & ponytail with some color variation.

But Stephanie is special; she got her own new wig in a ponytail and it even has a cute pink visor!

So why did she get the second wig?

I don't know exactly why, but I'm sure some fans were glad she had been given a fresh new look.

I think that's probably one of the reasons. After two full years, many fans have accumulated several Stephanie mini-dolls with the same old hairstyle. And while there are more than one main character with dark hair, there's only one of her with blonde hair. And blonde dolls sell well in general, so naturally, Stephanie is the one to get this new wig.

Other than the wig, she got two new cute sleeveless blouse tops (#1/#2 and #7). The other four tops had all been introduced by other characters before. I was rather surprised to see #4's long-sleeved shirt making a comeback; it had been nearly two years since it was first worn by Theresa at Summer Riding Camp.

Stephanie (2013)

As I said in my post about Stephanie mini-dolls from 2012, she desperately needed to change her wardrobe after being seen in the same top all the time (except once).

Here's the result:

1) 41011 Stephanie's Soccer Practice
2) 41004 Rehearsal Stage
3) 41005 Heartlake High
4) 41016 Advent Calendar

In 2003, she made sure to wear a brand new top and bottom for every possible occasion. All of the above torsos and legs were newly designed for those particular versions of Stephanie released in 2013.

Stephanie suddenly became the fashion leader; many of the pieces that she wore in 2013 were later borrowed by Mia, Olivia, Emma, Naya and Sophie. Even boys like Andrew and Noah wear the navy blue cropped pants which originally belonged to Stephanie.

Three of Stephanie's 2013 tops are decorated with her signature star motif.

In 2012 and 2013, the main five girls often wore those wonderful character-specific tops.

As you are probably aware, it's no longer so.

To my disappointment, random clothes sharing among the characters started in 2014.

Stephanie (2012)

Today let's look at the Stephanie mini-dolls introduced in 2012.

1) 3063 Heartlake Flying Club
2) 3183 Stephanie's Cool Convertible
3) 30105 Mailbox (promo/polybag)
4) 5000245 Stephanie (promo/polybag)
5) 3930 Stephanie's Outdoor Bakery
6) 3185 Summer Riding Camp
7) 3935 Stephanie's Pet Patrol

Stephanie appears four times that year in her signature outfit: her favorite white tank top with pink details, her magenta skirt and matching tennis shoes.

Stephanie was assigned with the star motif, so the two tops designed especially for her that year show stars or at least part of a star.

Her long-sleeved shirt is painted in Aqua and very lovely with an asymmetrical neckline. It's too bad it has been worn only once; it's such a cute shirt with silver and pink details.

Just like Olivia, Stephanie's signature top was updated in 2015. The elements in the design stayed the same, but the two shades of pink are more clearly distinguished in the new version.

When you look at the Stephanie mini-dolls from 2012, you get the impression that she wears this same old tank top all the time! Maybe she was embarrassed by it, so during the next two years that followed, she made sure not to be seen in a new set wearing it again.
